I really like using the microscope to look at structures in the placenta, such as blood vessels and cells. The structure can tell you a lot about how a pregnancy has been.
My favourite experiment is detecting the genes that are on or off in different stages of the zebrafish embryo development. You can see how a gene is off at earlier stages and then it turns on or the other way round.
My favorite experiments are more in the field. I like watching animals in their natural habitats behaving naturally. One of my favorite field trips was counting seals around the Cornish coast to find out how many adults and juveniles we have living in the southwest sea.
