The work of other scientists is very important. We all do very different work, and we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Some scientists are able to work out what problems we need to solve; others how to solve them. As we all have different talents, we need to work as teams and it is important to read about what other teams have done so we can learn from them.

I enjoy a lot of science outside that of my own field, and appreciate the work that other scientists do. A lot of it is very different to my work!

Working with other scientists from other backgrounds is becoming incredibly important now, and often one or two scientists don’t have enough knowledge or experience to solve a problem, so it’s great to be able to draw on the strengths of other people.

There are other people working on very similar projects to mine, so it’s always a good idea to keep track of them to ensure I’m on top of the research area.

They are all working on fantastic areas of life.life is complex so we must give a multidimensional approach.

There are many many more fascinating science questions than one person can ever answer so we need as many curious minds as possible to work on all different science subjects so that we can understand our world and help to solve the problems that we face.

It’s very important to be up to date with the work of other scientists, especially in your field. We need to know the experiments they have done, and the conclusions they got, to avoid repeating experiments and wasting time and money. An important part of being a scientist is reading about other scientists’ research.

I usually think that most of the research published is of a really good quality. But part of being a scientists is to criticise what other people conclude with their experiments, so sometimes we have to criticise other researcher’s science if we think that their conclusions aren’t right.
