  I’ve had to wait days! Some women have to be induced (given drugs to make them go into labour) and this can take a long time too. I was on call for four days waiting for one woman to give birth, over an entire weekend. It was a relief when it finally happened!

  I was very interested in getting involved in diabetes research and this project came up, so the pregnancy element was not on purpose! I guess I think diabetes is a growing problem and so research is really important in this area.
