      We always have to meet animal welfare standards, and we have something called an ‘ethics committee’ from which we have to get approval for animal testing, or we won’t be allowed to do it.

      I don’t personally test on mice but I know other people that do. Mice are a very good way of making a model (a representation) of pregnancy or diabetes, as it would be very unethical to do any of this work on humans. There is only so much you can do with cells.
