• Question: do you enjoy working in the lab and office every day

      On most days I enjoy what I do, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. Some days it’s hard work and long hours, but it is all worth it when you see the results.

      I enjoy a bit of variety. So my research has involved being outside watching birds or measuring trees, to mixing chemicals in the lab, to reading and writing at my desk. It’s all good 🙂

      I really enjoy it, because every day is different: the experiments I do every day are different because I’m trying to answer different questions; I go to seminars and meetings where we learn about the research that other scientists do; I also have office work where I analyse the results of my experiments; I also spend a lot of time with the fish in the aquarium…
