  I haven’t done any work in other countries to be honest, though I would like to. As I specialise in diabetes and how cells work, my work would not be suitable for making cleaner drinking water, but I have always had the ambition of doing some volunteering work. If you form collaborations as a scientist then you sometimes get to work in other labs across the world.
