Question: Is there a cure for diabetes? And if not, is that what you are trying to find?

  There is no current cure for diabetes, it can only be managed by diet, drugs and exercise.
  
  I am trying to find how certain genes that are used in the placenta will enable more nutrients to cross the placenta and allow the baby to grow much larger than it should do. One day, we may be able to interfere with these genes to prevent babies from becoming too big during pregnancy.

Question: Is there a cure for diabetes? And if not, is that what you are trying to find?
