The best thing about being a scientist is spending my time thinking about how nature works.

The worst thing is that sometimes I find it hard to think about anything else and my friends don’t understand me!

For me, the best thing about being a scientist is making new discoveries. I can think of any worst thing now.

The best thing is knowing you are doing something nobody else has ever tried before, and it’s unique to you.

The worst thing is sometimes it can really eat into your life (I’m in the lab on a Sunday morning writing this), and that you can’t really talk about work to anyone else because they look at you like you are nuts!

The best thing is doing experiments that will help us to understand better how our body works, and will help us to fight against diseases, in my case cancer.

The worst thing is when you do an experiment lots of times, exactly as the protocol says, and it doesn’t work. It’s very frustrating.
