I think for me, it is discovering new things that have never been discovered before, and finding out that your were right about your theories! It’s very reassuring to see results that you expect when you have a theory about something as it means that you are on the right tracks.

I have always really enjoyed learning, whether about animals, plants, the weather, chemistry or space – I just love to learn and that is exactly what my job is – to learn about the natural world and how it all works. I’m very lucky.

My favourite part of being a scientist is when new discoveries are made. This gives me a sense of satisfaction.

My favourite part is discussing about science with other people: scientists and non-scientists. Discussing about my research with other scientits is really helpful because I can learn other ways of doing my experiments, advice and tips. On the other hand, I feel really inspired when I talk about my research with non-scientists, because I can feel the interest of my research, and the impact it has in the society.
