I’m sure that it will do, although it’s never going cheap with the way that it has to be performed. Extracting eggs from the mother (or a donor), fertilising the eggs and growing them all involve quite a lot of work.

As we learn more about IVF, and carry it out more commonly, the cost is sure to go down in the future. For instance, as new ways to make the hormones needed are being updated, as they are being used more in IVF, they get cheaper to produce.

Generally things cost less when they are produced in great quantities and used by lots of people.

Because IVF is only needed by a small proportion of the population the cost may not actually be reduced further past the savings that can be made from better techniques. Unlike for example, laser eye surgery that is becoming very common and has almost halved in cost from when it was originally available about 10 years ago.

Hopefully it will with the help of more innovative techniques on the procedures. This is not going to be easy but I know it is possible. I look forward to that my self.
